Simplicity

Okay, Summer is here and Spring seems to have totally missed us. It teased for about three days, then the weather got cold again (freezing is more like it), and then summer came. The heat has been good for the roses, though.
I've simplified my life. No matter how hard I try I can never make premade salad taste decent, so I've tossed my premade salad bags and gone back to the basics. I chopped and diced and shredded and made a two-day batch of salad that actually got eaten in two days. No more waste. We had it for dinner. The next day, I had it for lunch, Kenzie came home and had it for an after school snack, and Christopher came home and had it as a midnight meal. I just add the basic lettuce, carrots, radishes, and parmesan cheese. Tomatoes, cucumbers, olives got added later. I made a new batch today. I forgot that I wasn't going to add the parmesan so that if I wanted feta or cheddar, that was an option. Oh well. I'm still happy for deliciousness. Yeah!

Who's that scratching on my window pane?

I was busy working and kept hearing this scratching.

Moved the curtain and there sat this little lizard sunning itself.

Gaz is nabbed!!

In my bedroom, Gaz knows she's not allowed on the bed during summer. She's way too hot. But she also knows that I'm the only one that will chase her off my bed. Kenzie or Topper lay in it and she will appear out of thin air and jump right on up, as quick as you please. Well, she got all comfy around Kenzie's legs and Kenzie CAUGHT HER and Photographed Her In The Criminal Act, so to speak. She looked cute... well, okay, it's more like WHAT!?!

Totally Inspired!!!!

I've been so lax lately. No creative muse, no creations. Then, Saturday, the flood gates opened and I've been busy ever since. This is my latest creation:
Andromeda. I have been stargazing and feeling a need to connect more with nature. I love looking at the Milky Way, but that sounded stupid for a name. So it's Andromeda!!

Lampwork Treasury
